Field Application Scientist (100%)
The cutting-edge electrophysiology platforms of MaxWell Biosystems enable scientists in pharmaceutical industries, contract research organizations, and academia around the world to characterize the function of neurons and the effect of compounds. Our solutions include hardware, software, and data analysis. As a Field Application Scientist, you will be our expert in the various applications of our products and will be a key representative of MaxWell Biosystems to our current and prospective customers. You will be involved in sales and support activities, offering the best solutions to the needs of our users. You will prepare presentations of our products, perform demos in front of clients using their biological samples, and increase product sales by convincing customers to buy our products.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and communicate with potential customers; perform product presentations and demos
- Identify, advance, and close business opportunities
- Represent MxW at conferences and trade shows
- Manage sales contracts and customer contacts
- Handle system demos, installations and trainings, both onsite and remotely
- Communicate all relevant customer information, including product and/or customer experience to Product Management, Application Development, Sales, and Marketing, keeping CRM up-to-date with customer information and interactions
- Travel for sales and support, whenever necessary and possible; provide technical and applications assistance, trouble-shooting support to customers in the field

Your Profile
- MS/PhD degree in fields related to neuroscience / biotechnology / physiology
- Established experience in using multi-well microelectrode arrays for characterizing iPSC-derived neurons and analyzing microelectrode array datasets – is preferred ☺
- Knowledgeable in the field of iPSC and organoids, as well as having an established network in this field – is a huge plus
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus
- Strong presentation and communication skills, experienced in interacting with scientists
- Willingness to travel ~50%
- Customer-centric and aware of markets, trends, and competitors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)

Scientific Communications Specialist (100%)
At MaxWell Biosystems, we value the quality and relevance of our scientific and technical content for internal and external audiences. Communicating about the scientific applications and technological advancements of our in-novative electrophysiology platforms is crucial as we establish close contact with our user-base, collaborators, and potential customers worldwide. Be it in pharmaceutical industry, contract research organizations or aca-demia, all our existing and prospective customers have a scientific background (neuroscience, stem cell biology, bioengineering, pharmacology, etc.). As a Scientific Communications Specialist, your role will be to promote Max-Well Biosystems through the creation of understandable and compelling “stories” across all published materials. Not only does this include written content, but also audio-visual information, such as images, slides, videos, pod-casts, etc.
Your Responsibilities
- Write compelling, understandable, and accurate messages, and generate materials to engage both internal stakeholders and our global audience, working in close collaboration with Sales, Scientific, and Product Management Teams
- Handle content ideation, creation, dissemination, and regular updates of all publications across media channels (brochures, application notes, technical documents, presentations, social media content, blog posts, news articles, website, etc.) according to the Marketing and Communication Plan
- Proofread all external communications and publications generated by the Marketing Team
- Support in writing and publishing our internal and collaborative research in conferences, journals, and other channels
- Contribute to the activities of the Marketing Team (e.g., organization of webinars, virtual events, conference exhibitions, roadshows, workshops, etc.)

Computational Neuroscientist / Electrophysiology Software Engineer (100%)
At MaxWell Biosystems, we innovate the future of electrophysiology by developing cutting-edge technologies for neural activity recording. Our platform includes the software MaxLab Live, a custom-designed integrated circuit, and an FPGA-based data acquisition system that generates vast amounts of data when electrically imaging neu-ronal tissue. These data are processed, analyzed, and visualized in real-time.
We are seeking a highly motivated Computational Neuroscientist or Electrophysiology Software Engineer to join our interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between software engineering and electro-physiology data analysis, helping us develop novel tools for neuroscience research and drug discovery.
Your Mission
- Develop and enhance robust pipelines for neural data analysis, including spike detection, sorting, and feature extraction algorithms
- Integrate cutting-edge methods, including machine learning or advanced statistical techniques, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of neural data analysis
- Collaborate with neuroscientists and electrophysiologists to identify key challenges in data interpretation and implement practical software solutions

Senior Software Engineer C++ (100%)
Our technology consists of our software suite MaxLab Live, a custom designed integrated circuit, and an FPGA-based data acquisition platform and generates vast amounts of data when electrically imaging neuronal tissue.
